If you’re an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor looking for real ownership, this role gives you the chance to lead the commercial function on a portfolio of highway projects across the South West. Expect a mix of new highway and public realm projects, maintenance schemes and vehicle restraint systems (VRS)—fast‑moving, varied and commercially engaging.

You’ll head up a small team of commercial professionals and be the driving force behind forecasting, risk management and NEC contract oversight. We’re looking for someone who has previously worked in the Civils sector, who can think independently, build strong relationships and bring out the best in their team.

As Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will:

  * Have a strong understanding of NEC form of contract.

  * Have experience in managing and developing team members

  * Be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management

  * Be experienced of working in the Civils/Highways sector

Location/Travel expectations: Your week will be spread across our client’s office in Taunton and projects across the South West.

Hybrid options: Flexibility of home working depending on project needs.

Salary band: £75,000 - £85,000 per annum

Benefits package: Company car or £7,500 car allowance, private healthcare for you and your family, life assurance, 25 days annual leave (exc. bank holidays, plus a day off for your birthday) etc
