Job Description
Are you a skilled Managing Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record in delivering successful projects within the highways sector? An exciting opportunity awaits you in Norwich to play a pivotal role in a highly anticipated National Highways scheme.
Key Requirements:
·Extensive experience in major Highways projects, preferably with National Highways experience.
·Strong background in quantity surveying and cost management.
·Excellent knowledge of contract administration and procurement processes.
·Ability to manage and lead a team of surveyors effectively.
·Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen.
·Happy to work at least 4 days on-site per week.
Responsibilities:
·Oversee all quantity surveying activities for the National Highways scheme in Norwich.
·Manage project finances, including cost forecasting, budgeting, and risk analysis.
·Conduct regular site visits and liaise with project stakeholders to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
·Provide accurate and timely financial reports to senior management.
·Mentor and support junior members of the surveying team.
Qualifications and Skills:
·Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
·Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB, etc.) preferred.
·Proven experience as a Managing Quantity Surveyor on large-scale infrastructure projects.
·Proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., MS Excel, CostX, etc.).
·Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
