Mandarin speaking Operations Assistant - What You'll be Doing:
* Prepare daily cash movement reports.
* Manage payments preparation, fund transfers and issue trade confirmation;
* Investigate and resolve discrepancies in the settlement amounts, as well as reconcile cash breaks.
* Maintain counterparties’ information and SSI against in-house systems.
* Actively participate in projects for new systems and new products launches.
* Support the implementation of new products and system modifications by liaising with the Head Office and other stakeholders. ;
* Collaborate with the Head Office and IT to ensure efficient department operations.
* Assist department members in handling any operational issues.
* Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Manager and the Head of Operations.
* Maintain effective communication with leadership, providing updates on issues, concerns and successes.
* Provide coverage for other back-office functions as needed.
Mandarin speaking Operations Assistant - The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:
* Experience within a banking role.
* Understanding of payments schemes (CHAPS and SWIFT).
* Solid understanding of the UK payment system including Interbank Clearing, Nostro account reconciliations and CHAPS processes.
* Experienced in handling SWIFT operations.
* Strong communication skills in both written and verbal in English and Mandarin.
* Highly organised and able to work under pressure and meet specific deadlines.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Relevant professional qualifications.
* Proficiency in Microsoft excel.
* Team player with diligent work ethic and strong communications abilities.
