Job Description
Urgent Requirement: Manual Machinist – (Southampton Workshop)
We are urgently looking to re-resource a Manual Machinist for our Southampton-based workshop at Southampton.
Role Details:
* Location: Southampton Workshop (no driving license required)
* Contract Type:
* Initial 3-month temporary contract (£16–£17 per hour)
* Potential to go permanent depending on performance and qualifications
* Permanent Salary Range:
* £34,500 (NVQ Level 2)
* Up to £40,000 (NVQ Level 3)
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate manual machinery including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders
* Interpret and work from isometric drawings
* Manually adjust speeds, feeds, and depths to achieve precision machining
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience in manual machining
* Strong understanding of precision engineering
* Ability to work independently and follow technical drawings accuratelyBefore You Apply
