Manual Machinist (Milling & Turning)
Near Driffield
Up to £40,000 depending on experience
Full-time | Permanent | Monday–Friday | 40 hrs per week
We are looking for an experienced Manual Machinist to join our client's engineering team near Driffield. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on precision components, prototypes, and small-batch production using conventional manual machine tools.
The Role
You will be responsible for producing high-quality machined components from engineering drawings using manual milling machines and centre lathes.
Typical work includes:

Setting and operating manual milling machines and centre lathes
*
Machining materials such as aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel, and plastics
*
Carrying out operations including turning, milling, drilling, boring, tapping, and profiling
*
Working from engineering drawings and tolerances
*
Inspecting parts using verniers, micrometres, bore gauges, and DTI
*
Producing one-off and small batch components
What We're Looking For

Strong experience with manual milling and turning
*
Ability to work independently from engineering drawings
*
Confident using precision measuring equipment
*
High attention to detail and quality
*
