Position: Manual Turner

Location: Cheltenham

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Up to £44,000 DOE

Hours: 43 hours per week (Day Shift)

Role Responsibilities:

Set up and operate manual lathes to produce precision components

Work from detailed engineering drawings to tight tolerances

Manufacture small to medium-sized components for batch and prototype work

Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for different materials

Carry out self-inspection using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges)

Maintain a high standard of quality and accuracy throughout production

The Person:

Minimum 4 years’ experience working as a Manual Turner

Strong experience in manual turning within a precision engineering environment

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings is essential

Experience working on small batch or prototype work (important due to low-volume production environment)

High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality components
