Job Title: Manual Turner/Miller
Location: Bootle, Merseyside
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent - Early finish on Fridays
Salary: £15 per hour
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Manual Turner/Miller to join a well-established precision engineering firm based in Bootle. The company specialises in high-quality metal fabrication and machining services supplying into a range of industries
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a close-knit team in a business known for its reliability, fast turnaround, and commitment to engineering excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate manual lathes to produce precision components to customer specifications.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Perform quality checks using measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, gauges).
Work with a variety of metals including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
Maintain machinery and ensure a clean and safe working environment.
Collaborate with other machinists and fabricators to meet production deadlines.Requirements:
Proven experience as a Manual Turner in a precision engineering environment.
Strong understanding of machining principles and tolerances.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Flexibility to support other areas of the workshop when required.Desirable:
Experience with manual machining either milling
Familiarity with fabrication and welding processesBefore You Apply
