Their workshop is fully equipped with centre lathes, XYZ Proturn machines and other modern CNC equipment, creating a dynamic environment where quality and precision matter.
The Role
They are looking for a motivated, hands-on engineer to join their team as a Centre Lathe / XYZ Proturn Turner.
If you have experience in machining or an engineering background, we can provide training to develop your skills on centre lathes and XYZ Proturn machines. You’ll work on a variety of components, setting, operating and eventually programming machines to produce high-quality parts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Setting up and operating centre lathes and XYZ Proturn machines.
* Machining components to precise tolerances in line with engineering drawings.
* Reading and interpreting technical drawings, including tolerances and machining symbols.
* Using measuring tools to check your own work and maintain quality standards.
* Collaborating with the production team to meet deadlines and maintain workflow.
* Following health & safety procedures in a busy workshop environment.
About You
* Background in engineering, machining or mechanical manufacturing.
* Keen to develop your skills and willing to learn new techniques.
* Ability to read engineering drawings is advantageous (training can be provided).
* Good attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
* Team player, flexible and motivated to contribute to a small, dynamic workshop.
No previous XYZ Proturn experience? No problem! Full training will be provided for the right candidate from an engineering background!
