Interim Manufacturing Consultant – Process & Systems Lead
Yorkshire | 3–6 Month Assignment | Day Rate DOE
We’re working with a manufacturing business undergoing a period of operational change and improvement. They’re looking for a Manufacturing Consultant with hands-on experience in stock control, planning, and MRP, ideally within a volume manufacturing environment, to lead and formalise key processes across their operation.
This is a project-led interim role with a focus on outcomes – ideal for someone who’s implemented process change before and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.
The Brief:
Review current warehouse stock control processes and formalise an actionable plan.
Audit the manufacturing planning and MRP practices and provide written findings and recommendations.
Design and embed a structured stock control process that integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Dynamics NAV, complete with policy documents, manuals, and training materials.
Develop a robust demand forecasting and MRP framework, supported by the right systems and tools (NAV or otherwise), with documentation and team training.
What You’ll Bring:
5+ years in volume manufacturing environments, managing stock and production processes with values of £1m+.
A track record of owning and implementing stock control, MRP, and forecasting processes end-to-end.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV (essential).
A structured, analytical mindset and the ability to translate findings into clear, practical steps.
