We need a Manufacturing Engineer for a manufacturer based in Croydon.
💰 £30,000 – £50,000 | 🕒 Full-time, Permanent | 🏭 On-site
📍 Monday–Thursday: 8.00am–4.45pm | Friday: 8.00am–12.30pm
⚠️ Must be eligible for BPSS and SC clearance. ULEZ location.
We’re hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to join a high-tech business supporting nuclear, defence, and aerospace sectors, designing and manufacturing specialist detector products for the UK and export markets.
As the go-to expert for manufacturing processes, you’ll be pivotal in improving capability across skills, equipment, products, and documentation. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in high-reliability, regulated environments.
🛠️ Manufacturing Engineer Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily technical support to manufacturing operations
Create and maintain manufacturing documentation & instructions
Drive process improvement, root cause analysis, and lean practices
Support product/process introduction and operational performance
Be a key interface between design and manufacturing teams
Resolve non-conformances and support audits/quality checks
✅ Manufacturing Engineer What You’ll Need:
Degree or HNC in Engineering/Science
Experience in highly regulated industries (nuclear, aerospace, defence preferred)
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, FAI, and documentation control
Experience with electro-mechanical systems or radiation detection (ideal)
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Eligibility for BPSS and SC security clearance
IT proficiency (MS Office)
