About the Role As Manufacturing Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of Engineers and Technicians, driving best-in-class production support across legacy products, new product introduction (NPI) and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with design, operations and project teams to ensure smooth production handovers, robust DfM reviews and compliance with industry standards-including those required by major defence clients. Key Tasks: Lead and mentor a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Technicians Deliver DfM reviews and support NPI projects from concept to production Provide hands-on technical support across electro-mechanical assembly lines Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges Support bids and proposals with technical input for new business Drive compliance with Health & Safety and customer-specific manufacturing standards Own departmental KPIs and budget planning for equipment and technology upgrades Champion a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous improvementRequirements: Min 2-3 years' experience in a manufacturing engineering leadership role Background in electro-mechanical assembly or electronics manufacturing Strong understanding of ERP systems, problem-solving and spec interpretation Experience with NPI, DfM, and working in high-mix, low-volume environments Positive, people-oriented mindset with a data-driven approach to quality Degree or chartership desirable-or we will help you to get thereWhy Join?
