Futures are working with a well-established and growing organisation within the power distribution and high-voltage sector, seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead operations on a fast-paced shop floor. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for ensuring production runs efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards—delivering products on time and in line with client expectations.
As Manufacturing Manager, you will take full ownership of shop floor performance, leading teams, optimising processes, and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. You will play a key role in ensuring production targets are met without compromising on quality or safety.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day shop floor operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Ensure all products are delivered on time, meeting client specifications and quality standards
Drive productivity, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives
Manage, coach, and develop production teams to achieve high performance
Monitor KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions
Work closely with planning, engineering, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations
Maintain and enforce health & safety standards across the facility
Oversee resource allocation, workforce planning, and production scheduling
Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience in a Manufacturing Manager or similar leadership role
Strong background managing fast-paced shop floor environments
Demonstrated ability to deliver against tight deadlines and production targets
Experience within power distribution or high-voltage environments would be highly advantageous
Strong leadership and people management skills
Data-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Excellent problem-solving and organisational abilities
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is desirable
