Job Description

This role leads manufacturing operations within a highly regulated environment, ensuring the safe, efficient and high-quality production of critical components. It involves driving operational excellence, maintaining strict compliance with industry standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, quality assurance and safety across all production activities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and quality standards
Support the Head of Manufacturing to run the Manufacturing workshop.
Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Manage resources effectively, including people, equipment and budgets, to meet delivery targets
Promote and maintain high standards of health, safety and quality across the shop floor
Coach, mentor and develop production teams to achieve operational excellenceRequirements

Proven experience in a Manufacturing leadership role.
Strong background working in Welding, Fabrication and Assembly environments.
Degree or HNC qualified in Engineering discipline
Lean Six Sigma certified.
Eligibility to undergo SC Clearance.
 Location: Chorley
 Permanent 
 Salary: £60k - £65k 
 Working Hours: 4 day working week! Monday - Thursday, Full Time. 
 Benefits: 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, 5% pension from employer, MediCash Health.
