The Role

Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate and drive a forklift truck (including rotator and clamp) to move powders, pulps, and materials
* Carry out equipment checks, pre-start inspections, and ensure safe setup of work areas
* Move and store raw materials from despatch to refiner areas, ensuring correct handling and neat storage
* Monitor and control the effluent treatment process, including cleaning and unblocking equipment
* Assist with pulp grinding and provide cover for the grinder operator when required
* Maintain excellent housekeeping standards (5S) within all work areas
* Record data accurately (both digital and written) and follow company operating procedures
* Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth material flow and seamless handovers
* Report health, safety, and operational issues promptly to supervisors
* Support compliance with quality, safety, operational, and environmental policies

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious, with strong attention to detail and a positive “can-do” attitude. About you:
* Experience operating a forklift truck (with rotator/clamp preferred)
* Understanding of health & safety practices in a manufacturing setting
* Ability to follow standard operating procedures and risk assessments
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Flexibility to cover shifts and adapt to changing business needs
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
