Manufacturing Supervisor
Stockport
Up to £55,000 basic
Permanent
Monday – Thursday 7am - 3.30pm
Friday 7am - 12pm
We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join a growing engineering business in Stockport. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives on the shop floor and can drive performance, quality, and safety across the team.
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading and developing a manufacturing team to hit production targets
* Driving health & safety and leading by example
* Managing daily team briefs, resource planning and shift handovers
* Tracking performance using KPIs and reporting key metrics
* Supporting quality compliance and continuous improvement activities
* Flexible to support across other business areas when needed
What we’re looking for:
* 3+ years' experience in a supervisory role within manufacturing
* Background in aerospace, automotive, or mechanical engineering preferred
* Strong knowledge of H&S, scheduling, and resource planning
* Confident using SAP, MRP systems, and Microsoft Office
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* HND or Degree in Manufacturing/Engineering
* IOSH or NEBOSH (desirable)
Experience with:
* Scheduling / production planning
* Resource planning & team development
* Leading shift handovers and team briefs
* Monitoring and reporting KPIs
Hands-on with systems: SAP, MRP, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Flexible to work shifts and support other areas when neededBefore You Apply
