Job Description
We’re hiring for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join an engineering manufacturer based in Stockport.
You’ll be leading a skilled production team, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery targets are met while maintaining a safe, efficient, and motivated working environment.

What will you be doing as a Manufacturing Supervisor?
* Leading your team to deliver products on time and to the required cost and quality standards
* Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with company Health & Safety policies
* Allocating resources effectively to hit production targets, supporting other departments when needed
* Managing attendance, holidays, and sickness in line with company procedures
* Supporting training and development to maintain skills and encourage progression
* Preparing daily production reports to track performance and output
* Maintaining quality standards and resolving any issues or non-conformances promptly
* Running daily briefings to communicate priorities, updates, and key business information
* Keeping KPIs clear and up to date for both your team and management
* Carrying out daily checks to maintain a clean, safe, and visitor-ready working environment
What do you need?
* Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader position within a engineering environment
* Strong understanding of production processes
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Experience in quality, safety, and resource management
* Relevant engineering qualification (e.g. ONC/HNC/NVQ Level 3 or higher) desirable
* Experience within a HGV production environment desirable
