Are you a detail-oriented individual driven by precision and quality? We're seeking a proactive Manufacturing Technician to join our production team in Witney, Oxfordshire. This is a crucial opportunity to contribute to essential healthcare, as you'll be operating advanced, highly automated equipment to manufacture life-changing Strip and Sensor medical products used for diagnosis. You'll ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient production in a supportive, highly regulated environment. Key Details Job Title: Manufacturing Technician (Day Shift) Location: Witney, Oxfordshire Shift Pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) Pay Rate: £15.29 per hour What You'll Be Doing You will be responsible for the continuous, high-quality operation and maintenance of our production line: Equipment Operation & Setup: Run and monitor highly automated manufacturing machinery. This includes performing equipment setup, executing line clearances, and strictly adhering to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational excellence. Data Management & Record Keeping: Accurately input critical machine and process data (e.g., yield, efficiency metrics) into specialised software systems like MacPac or POMS/EBR. You are responsible for the timely and accurate verification of batch records and inventory data. Quality & Compliance: Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and organisation using 6S principles. Ensure all work fully complies with strict quality guidelines, SOPs, COSHH regulations, and EHS risk assessments. Production Troubleshooting: Proactively troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues on the line. Promptly escalate more complex technical problems to Engineering or Management, collaborating with the team to report and address machinery breakdowns. Safety Adherence: Strictly follow all safety training and procedures, including the timely reporting of near misses and accidents, maintaining expert knowledge of relevant safety documentation. Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate for this role is precise, collaborative, and committed to high standards: Detail-Oriented: Exceptional commitment to accuracy and strict adherence to guidelines and SOPs. Proactive Problem-Solver: A mindset for troubleshooting and quickly resolving production issues. IT Literate: Comfortable working with both automated machinery and basic IT systems for efficient data entry. Team Player: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a high-performing team. Commitment to Quality & Safety: A dedication to maintaining stringent health, safety, and production quality standards.Previous experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment is a plus, but not required.
