We're supporting a specialist communications and engineering company that works closely with defence clients, particularly across maritime and MOD environments. They are actively looking for ex-Forces candidates to join their team as a Project Manager, focusing on the delivery of technical projects on UK Government and Royal Navy vessels.
The business has a strong track record of hiring from the military community and is especially keen to bring in someone who understands how defence operations run, whether that's from a Royal Navy, Royal Signals, REME, or similar background.
The Role
As a Marine Project Manager, you'll take ownership of various installation and upgrade projects across government-owned vessels. You'll coordinate with engineers, suppliers, and key defence stakeholders to ensure work is delivered on time, to budget, and within scope.
This is a great fit for someone used to managing technical tasks, people, or equipment in high-pressure environments.
Project Manager Key Responsibilities:
Lead multiple technical installation projects on maritime platforms
Coordinate suppliers, engineers, and client stakeholders
Produce and manage documentation including installation plans and modification instructions
Oversee internal reporting, risk tracking, and project governance
Support continuous improvement across the project delivery function
Represent the business in client meetings and technical discussionsProject Manager Requirements:
Veterans with leadership, planning, or delivery experience
Background in defence, maritime, communications, or engineering preferred
Excellent stakeholder management and organisational skills
Knowledge of MOD processes or military environments
Comfortable working from the Redhill site (with some flexibility)
