Maritime MOD Project Manager
Location: Redhill, Surrey,
Maritime MOD Project Manager / Maritime Communications Project Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) maritime implementation projects, including work across Royal Navy, Royal Fleet Auxiliary, and other UK MOD/government vessels. This role is based In Redhill, Surrey
Key Responsibilities of Maritime Communications Project Manager
Manage multiple maritime installation projects, either concurrently or in sequence.
Produce Equipment Guidance Packages (EGPs), Installation Guidance Packages (IGPs), and Modification Leaflets based on engineering designs, vessel surveys, and stakeholder input.
Oversee the Change Impact Assessment Process (CIAP) in collaboration with Engineering, Assurance Teams, and customers.
Provide internal reporting and updates within the project and governance teams.
Contribute to customer governance meetings, including updates on schedules, progress, risk, opportunity management, and interdependencies.
Coordinate priorities, procurement, and configuration lead times to meet project timelines.
Manage supplier and subcontractor deliverables to align with implementation plans.
Support the continuous improvement of project management and through-life support functions.
Carry out additional project management duties as directed by the Programme Director.
Self-monitored on a day-to-day basis within the context of programme/contract requirements.
Make decisions on work prioritisation and goal-setting, in consultation with relevant teams.
Exercise proactive, independent decision-making within assigned authority.
Take ownership of issues, coordinating effective resolutions to prevent escalation.
Skills & Qualifications of Maritime MOD Project Manager / Maritime Communications Project Manager
Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver results under pressure.
Must hold or be eligible to obtain DV Security Clearance.
Experience managing UK MOD and other UK government department projects.
Proven background in UK MOD maritime electrical installation projects.
Technical knowledge in electrical/electronic systems, IT networking, and satellite communications.
Proficiency in producing technical documentation including EGPs, IGPs, and Modification Leaflets.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High customer focus with a flexible, solution-oriented approach.
Ability to travel as required.
Meeting tight project deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
Understanding and translating customer requirements effectively.
Must hold a full UK drivers license
Must be able to travel to Redhill, Surrey for work
