Job Description

About the role The Marketing and Charity Coordinator will play a key role in raising the profile of Oxfordshire Crossroads and supporting the organisation’s sustainability and growth. The postholder will be responsible for managing and developing both online and traditional marketing activity, whilst also driving awareness and engagement through charitable fundraising and community initiatives. This role is ideally suited to someone who is passionate about the voluntary sector and enjoys combining creative marketing activity with meaningful community engagement and charitable work. Responsibilities Marketing & Communications * Support with the Development, Implementation and Maintenance of marketing plans that support the organisation’s strategic objectives. * Manage digital marketing channels, including the organisation’s website, social media platforms, and email communications, ensuring content is engaging, accurate, and up to date. * Coordinate and produce marketing materials such as brochures, newsletters, case studies, press releases, and promotional content. * Maintain and protect the organisation’s brand identity across all platforms and materials. * Work with external marketing agencies, designers, and printers as required. * Monitor and report on marketing activity and engagement, making recommendations for continuous improvement. Charity & Fundraising Activities * Work alongside the senior team to Support and develop fundraising initiatives, campaigns, and events to raise awareness and income for the charity. * Work closely with community groups, local businesses, donors, and supporters to strengthen relationships and increase engagement. * Coordinate charitable initiatives and community outreach activities that promote the mission and services of Oxfordshire Crossroads. * Assist with grant promotion activity, donor communications, and supporter recognition. * Represent the organisation at events, networking opportunities, and community engagements where required. Candidate requirements * Experience in Digital Marketing and a strong understanding of Social Media platforms and how to leverage each platform to raise awareness of the business. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Experience managing social media and digital marketing channels. * Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple activities effectively. * Strong organisational skills with attention to detail. * Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including the public and community groups. * A clear commitment to the values and mission of Oxfordshire Crossroads. Desirable * Experience working within a charity or not-for-profit organisation. * Knowledge of traditional/offline marketing techniques. * Experience organising or supporting fundraising events or campaigns. * Basic design skills or experience using marketing tools (e.g. Canva, Mailchimp, CMS platforms). * Understanding of data protection and consent in a care or charity environment
