Looking for a first step into marketing with a real team, real budget, and real ownership?
We are recruiting on behalf of an e-commerce business with offices in central Bristol. The role is hybrid: three days onsite in Bristol Harbourside, two from home. Full company name shared with shortlisted candidates at initial screening.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Recent graduate (any discipline) or someone with up to twelve months of marketing adjacent work (in-house, agency, internship, or strong personal-project portfolio).
Comfortable with at least one of: social media platforms, basic email marketing tools (Klaviyo or Mailchimp), Canva or similar design tools, or Shopify or other CMS. Strong written English.
The role produces copy for email, social, and product pages.
Curious mindset. The client expects assistants to ask questions and propose ideas.
Right to work in the UK.
Marketing-related degree welcome but not required.
Self-taught marketers with portfolio evidence are equally considered.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Support the weekly email marketing programme.
Draft copy, build sends in Klaviyo, schedule, and report on performance (training given on the specific stack).
Manage day-to-day organic social posting across Instagram and TikTok (the team handles paid social separately).
Coordinate asset requests with the freelance designer (briefs, deadlines, review).
Build product-page updates and seasonal landing pages in Shopify.
Contribute weekly performance reporting back to the Marketing Coordinator.
WHAT IS ON OFFER Pay:
£12.82 to £14.36 per hour (£25,000 to £28,000 annualised at 37.5 hours) depending on experience.
Hybrid. Three days onsite at the Bristol Harbourside office, two from home.
Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm. 25 days holiday plus bank holidays plus a paid birthday day off. £40 monthly wellbeing stipend.
Defined six-month and twelve-month review cycle with documented pay-band progression to Marketing Coordinator.
Funded courses via CIM, IDM or Reforge during year one (one course, employer-paid). Cycle-to-work scheme and a Bristol Harbourside office five minutes from Temple Meads.
This role suits a recent graduate or career-starter who wants channel breadth and real ownership rather than admin-only assistant work. The four-person marketing team means assistants own actual programmes, not just support tasks.
