Job Description
Calderdale Council is seeking an experienced Practice Manager to join their Multi-Agency Screening Team (MAST) at £40 per hour.
The MAST acts as the single front door for all children's safeguarding and support enquiries, including:
Safeguarding referrals and early help requests
Disability and OT referrals
Domestic abuse notifications (DRAMM, MARAC)
Police safeguarding referralsAll incoming cases are screened and decisions made within 24 hours to ensure children are safeguarded promptly.
The Practice Manager plays a key role in overseeing the screening process, supervising social workers, chairing strategy meetings, and approving outcomes.
Location: Calderdale (mainly office-based with limited home working)
Contract: 12 weeks (covering permanent recruitment)
Pay Rate: £40 per hour

Essential Requirements:
Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent
At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services
Social Work England Registration
