Masker / Operator Inspector – Day Shift (Maternity Cover)
Location: Cardiff
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Shift Pattern: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am–4:00pm or 7:00am–5:00pm
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Are you looking for a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment? We have an exciting opportunity for a Masker / Operator Inspector to join a leading team in Cardiff on a day shift basis.
This position is being offered as maternity cover, with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare manufactured components for the painting process
Apply masking tape to components with precision
Perform loading, unloading, and manual handling duties
Inspect components using alignment gauges
Carry out hand-filing and surface preparation as needed
Clean parts in preparation for final inspection
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience in preparation and polishing within a manufacturing setting
Good knowledge of masking, sanding, priming, and polishing techniques
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality work
Reliable team player with a proactive and flexible attitude
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining standards
