Job Title: Masker / Operator Inspector
Location: Cardiff
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Shift Pattern: One Day shift available Monday to Thursday, 6:00am–4:00pm or 7:00am–5:00pm
One job share twilight shift available
Contract Type: Temp to Perm
Are you seeking a practical role in a fast-paced, supportive manufacturing environment? We are currently recruiting for a Masker / Operator Inspector to join a reputable production team in Cardiff.
This opportunity is being offered as maternity cover, with the potential to move into a permanent position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare manufactured components for the painting process
Accurately apply masking tape to components
Carry out loading, unloading, and manual handling duties
Use alignment gauges to inspect components
Perform hand-filing and surface preparation
Clean components prior to final inspection
What We’re Looking For:
Experience in preparation and polishing within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Knowledge of masking, sanding, priming, and polishing techniques
High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality
A reliable, proactive team player with a flexible approach
Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards
