Job Description
This is a fantastic opportunity for a specialist in materials and/or production planning who is eager to learn and grow within a business, to be a part of world leading manufacturer of hi-tech engineering products. This is a company with sites across the country, and part of a business which is a global powerhouse; you’ll have the unique opportunity to be given the time to learn about all aspects of the business, with a clear pathway of progression into a management opportunity further down the line.
Reporting into the planning manager and working alongside an established group of materials and production planners, you will be exposed to both sides of the planning department, alongside other areas within the business, including stores, engineering, and inventory. Your responsibilities will include…
Receive and process sales order data/quotes
Run and process the MRP system, analysing result and converting planned orders
Analyse inventory data, recommend strategic purchases and stock adjustments
Update BOM’s, approve ECN’s, and support new product developmentWhat are we looking for?
2 years+ planning experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
Technical proficiency with tools such as excel, MRP (SAP), power BI and material flow/production scheduling
Personality: logical and methodical mindset, eager to learn and show proactivenessBefore You Apply
