Our client, a prominent player in the Aerospace/Defence sector, is currently seeking a Material Controller to join their team in Portchester on a contract basis.
As a Material Controller, you'll be at the heart of our operations helping to manage stock, keep things moving, and ensure our production team has everything they need to succeed.
Duration: 6 month contract
Pay: Competitive hourly rate
Working Pattern: Fully onsite
Location: Portchester, Hampshire This role would suit someone practical, reliable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and controlling the receipt, storage, and issue of materials.
Executing stock control operations and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Using computer systems for stock counting and managing stock levels effectively.
Handling materials and performing general warehouse duties.
Collaborating with team members to achieve efficient and timely materials handling.This is a great opportunity to step into an exciting role and make a real impact.
Key Requirements:
Experience in a manufacturing stores environment.
Proficiency with computer systems and stock control processes.
Possession of a forklift licence is highly advantageous.
