A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Materials Manager to lead the day to day of its purchasing and inventory. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of materials to meet production and customer demands, while driving improvements across supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the materials team, promoting high performance and accountability.
Manage purchasing and inventory processes to ensure cost-effective and reliable supply.
Optimise stock levels while maintaining delivery and quality standards.
Collaborate with internal teams to align material planning with production and business goals.
Drive continuous improvement and support business growth through process and systems development.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience in materials or supply chain management within a manufacturing setting.
Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills.
Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and data-driven decision-making.
A proactive mindset with a focus on efficiency, service, and continuous improvement.
