📍 Based in Redditch - commutable from Bromsgrove, Droitwich, Alcester, Studley, Solihull, Worcester, Kidderminster, and surrounding areas
💰 Salary: Circa £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (DOE) + benefits
Are you a skilled Materials Manager ready to step into a new challenge with minimal delay?
Our client, a precision engineering manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and proactive Materials Manager to join their site near Redditch. The successful candidate will take ownership of raw material planning, supplier performance, and inventory control across multiple business areas.
🛠 Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the full materials planning function and team leadership
Ensure timely ordering, tracking and delivery of raw materials
Manage daily material launch charts and exception reports
Coordinate with operational teams to meet 95%+ material launch performance targets
Lead and improve supplier relationships and delivery performance
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) with appropriate material availability
Collaborate with accounts, sales, and engineering on materials-related queries and quotes
Drive continuous improvement and stock optimisation🎯 What You'll Need:
Previous experience in a materials or supply chain management role within a manufacturing environment
Excellent planning, organisational, and supplier management skills
Strong knowledge of material MRP systems and Microsoft Office
Experience leading a team and managing departmental performance
