Are you an experienced Materials Manager?
Do you have good fleet, rail and rolling stock component knowledge?
If so, TXM Recruit are recruiting for an experienced Materials Manager located in Derby, East Midlands on a 6 -12 Month contract basis. The materials manager will take responsibility for material supply for fleet repair and maintenance, minimising material shortages to maximise unit availability.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will be responsible for chasing and expediting materials for a specific fleet by liaising with production, planning, commercial, supply chain and redelivery team.
You will require engaging with the external supplier of materials (and their potential sub-suppliers where appropriate) to ensure successful parts are obtained.
The role will work alongside the fleets’ contract managers looking at potential claims where the supplier has failed to deliver against their contractual obligations.
What we require?
Experience within the rail industry would be ideal.
Experience within a buyer, procurement or logistics role would be beneficial.
The individual will need to be commercially astute as the role requires a level of commercial and contractual understanding to know what contractual obligations the supplier has and where they are failing and to be notified as such.
The candidate will need to have a strong personality who is driven to get results.
You will require to be a motivated individual with strong stakeholder relations.
