Job Description
Established manufacturing organisation seeks an enthusiastic and organised Materials Planner to join their expanding team based in Redditch. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly professional team working within a productive, forward-thinking environment.
Offered as a Temporary to Permanent contract with competitive salary and immediate start available, the role of Materials Planner would suit a pro-active individual with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), problem solving and task management ability. Previous experience working in a similar role of Materials Planner or Scheduler is essential and preferably possessing a metals background.
Duties of Materials Planner:
* Planning / scheduling of parts in line with customer requirements
* Utilising the MRP system to identify and order appropriate materials allowing for lead time
* Maintaining MRP system to ensure all demand is correct and ensuring all data is correct
* Supplier Management
* Processing Supplier purchase orders
* Interact with internal customers and process actions in a timely but effective manner
* Maintain accurate records and document service activities and discussions
* Keep customers updated with order information
Skills and attributes required by successful candidate for the role of Materials Planner:
* Previous experience within a similar role of Materials Planner or Scheduler
* Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines
* High attention to detail
* Customer service experience
* Excellent communication (written and verbal)
* Highly organised
* IT proficient – Microsoft/MRP systems
* Metals background desirable but not essential
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Hours of work: Day shift
Salary: £35,000 p.a. to £40,000 p.a. dependant on experience
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
