Job Description
Maths Tutor – Alternative Provision
Location: Bedlington and surrounding areas
Pay: £25–£35 per hour (via PAYE)
TP Tutors is looking for passionate and dedicated Maths Tutors to support students receiving Alternative Provision across Bedlington and surrounding areas. This is a rewarding opportunity to deliver one-to-one tuition in homes, schools, or local community hubs—helping learners gain confidence, strengthen their maths skills, and reach their full potential.
Your Role:
Deliver personalised Maths tuition sessions tailored to each student’s needs and learning style.
Support pupils with exam preparation, homework, and building overall maths competency.
Adapt your teaching methods to suit varying levels of ability and understanding.
Record and monitor student progress using TP Tutors’ cloud-based reporting system.
What We’re Looking For:
Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Maths (Key Stage 3 and/or 4).
Previous experience tutoring or teaching students outside mainstream settings or with additional needs.
Patience, adaptability, and the ability to simplify complex topics.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive student relationships.
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in Maths or equivalent tutoring/teaching experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
