Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Start Date: October 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time | Long-Term | Potential for Permanent Placement
Daily Rate: £100-£160 (depending on experience & qualifications)
Are you confident delivering Maths lessons and ready to support students in a secondary school setting?
Do you have strong subject knowledge and classroom presence, even if you don't hold formal teaching qualifications?
We're working closely with a number of secondary schools in Northampton who are looking for dedicated Maths Instructors to join their departments this October. These roles are ideal for individuals with a background in tutoring, cover supervision, or unqualified teaching who are looking to build long-term experience in education.
What You'll Do:
Lead engaging and structured Maths sessions across Key Stage 3 and 4
Deliver content aligned with curriculum plans, often using pre-prepared materials
Support students of mixed abilities, adapting your delivery style when needed
Foster a focused and respectful classroom environment
Track progress and provide feedback under the guidance of qualified teaching staff
Get involved with school life and ongoing professional development opportunities
What We're Looking For:
Strong Maths knowledge - a degree or equivalent background is beneficial
Prior experience delivering lessons, tutoring, or working with secondary-aged students
Confident classroom management and clear communication skills
A professional, organised, and proactive approach
A genuine passion for helping young people learn and succeed in Maths
An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one
