Smart Education is currently recruiting a committed and enthusiastic Science Specialist Teacher to join one of our excellent secondary schools in the Teesside area. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who thrives on bringing learning to life and wants to make a lasting impact in science education.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Planning and delivering engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Inspiring curiosity and enthusiasm through practical experiments and real-world applications
Teaching across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, with the opportunity to specialise in your preferred subject area
Tracking and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support
Creating a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that fosters learning and achievement
Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop the science curriculum and share best practice
Who We’re Looking For:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS – essential
Degree in Science or a related subject – essential
Minimum of 6 months’ UK classroom experience – essential
Strong subject knowledge across the science curriculum
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A passion for inspiring students and promoting a love of science
Enhanced DBS (Child or Child & Adult Workforce), or willingness to apply
