Job Title: Maths Teacher Location: Sheffield Salary: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) Contract Type: Long-term / Temporary, Full-time / Part-time Start Date: Immediately Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking for an opportunity to inspire pupils and help them build confidence in mathematics? A welcoming secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a committed Maths Teacher to join their team. About the Role: As a Maths Teacher, you will plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping pupils develop strong mathematical understanding and problem-solving skills. You will use effective teaching strategies to meet different learning needs, assess progress and support pupils as they work towards their academic goals. Staff work collaboratively to maintain high expectations, positive behaviour and strong pastoral care, creating a welcoming and rewarding place to teach. Responsibilities: Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4. Assess, monitor and record pupil progress. Adapt teaching to meet the needs of individual pupils and different abilities. Develop pupils' mathematical knowledge, reasoning and problem-solving skills. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Work collaboratively with colleagues to support pupil progress. Contribute to the wider life of the school where appropriate. Requirements: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting. Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 mathematics. Effective classroom and behaviour management skills. Excellent communication, organisation and planning skills. A genuine passion for helping pupils develop confidence in Maths. An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education.
