QTS Maths Teacher - SEMH School
This highly supportive SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in South Birmingham, is seeking an experienced and passionate Maths Teacher to join their dedicated team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed teacher who is motivated by helping students overcome barriers to learning. You will be teaching small classes across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a strong focus on engagement, differentiation, and building confidence in numeracy.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons that are accessible, engaging, and tailored to individual learning needs.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
Support students in developing both academic skills and emotional resilience.
Work closely with teaching assistants and pastoral staff to provide consistent support and care.
Track, assess, and celebrate student progress through regular feedback and reports.Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4.
Previous experience within an SEMH or alternative provision setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
