We are recruiting for a Maths Teacher to start after half term (3 November) to cover for maternity leave ending December 2026.
You will hold QTS or an equivalent qualification and be an experienced Maths teacher up to KS4. You will provide a positive learning environment and uphold strong behaviour standards and ensure all pupils feel safe, supported and challenged.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver relevant maths lessons as per the curruiculum upto GCSE level
Meet any diverse learning needs including SEN and EAL students
Maintain effective classroom management strategies that promote respect, focus, and resilience
Monitor pupil progress through formative and summative assessment and where necessary provide feedback
Contribute to planning and curriculum development
Follow the schools safeguarding policies and report any concerns in line with their guidance and procedures
Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
Participate where necessary in CPD, staff meetings and any school initiatives as and when appropriate
In your position of Maths teacher you will demonstrate a clear understanding of Keeping Children Safe in Education and the Prevent Duty.
