Horizon Teachers are pleased to be supporting a high-achieving secondary school in Islington, North London, who are seeking a Maths Teacher to join their successful department after the Christmas break, covering a potential maternity leave. This role is offered on a long-term basis, with the possibility of lasting for the full duration of the maternity cover.
This position is paying between M1 (£40,317) and UPS3 (£62,496) depending on experience.
This forward-thinking school in Islington is looking for a committed and inspiring Maths Teacher who can deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with KS5 experience welcomed but not essential. You will be joining a supportive, well-organised Mathematics Department known for excellent outcomes, strong teamwork, and a positive approach to professional development.
What the School is Looking For:
A qualified Maths Teacher with QTS or a PGCE in Mathematics
Experience teaching Maths to KS4 (KS5 experience is an advantage)
Strong behaviour management and the ability to create a purposeful learning environment
The ability to plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
A genuine enthusiasm for Mathematics and supporting students to achieve their potential
