Job Description

Justteachers are supporting a secondary school in Leeds who is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their successful Mathematics department. Whether you are available to start immediately or looking for a new position from September 2026, this school offers a supportive environment where staff development, high standards, and student success are at the heart of everything they do.

Key Responsibilities:

  * Teach Maths across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and effective lessons.

  * Plan, prepare, and assess students’ work in line with school and departmental expectations.

  * Use data and assessment to track progress and provide targeted support.

  * Contribute to curriculum development and department initiatives.

  * Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.

  * Participate in whole‑school CPD, meetings, and wider school activities.

  * Maintain excellent communication with students, colleagues, and parents.

Pre-requisites:

  * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised qualification.

  * Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.

  * Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Maths.

  * Ability to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons.

  * Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

  * Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.

  * Suitable for both experienced teachers and ECTs.
