A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and inspirational Maths specialist to take on the role of Head of Maths at a high-performing and inclusive secondary school in Birmingham. This is a full-time, permanent position starting in September, and comes with a TLR2b for departmental leadership responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maths teacher or current Second in Department looking to step into a middle leadership role and drive progress and innovation in a thriving department. Key Information: * Position: Head of Maths * Start Date: September 2025 * Location: Birmingham * Contract: Full-time, Permanent * Salary: MPS/UPS + TLR2b * Teaching: Maths across KS3–KS5 * Leadership: Responsibility for leading the Maths department About the Role: As Head of Maths, you will lead a team of committed professionals in delivering outstanding Maths education across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. You will be responsible for shaping curriculum intent, raising achievement, mentoring staff, and ensuring consistently high standards of teaching and learning. This is a strategic role for someone with a clear vision, strong subject knowledge, and a passion for driving departmental success.
