Job Title - Teacher of Maths
· Salary - £25,647-£27,540 per annum (subject to qualifications) + £1,700 market supplement for DET-qualified teachers
· Location - Chatham
· Contract Type - Permanent (full-time, part-time, or job share considered)
· Hours - 40 hours per week (08:30 - 16:30, Monday-Friday)
We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of Maths to join Nacro's education team in Chatham. This is a rewarding opportunity to help young people who may have faced barriers to education, supporting them to achieve their qualifications and prepare for future opportunities.

Role Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Maths teaching, learning, and assessment.
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons tailored to student needs.
* Monitor progress and provide effective feedback to help learners achieve.
* Assess student work in line with awarding body requirements.
* Support students pastorally, helping them build confidence and resilience.
* Contribute to curriculum planning, enrichment activities, and continuous improvement.
* Work closely with colleagues to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Requirements
* GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
* Enhanced DBS check.
* Strong subject knowledge in Maths with the ability to inspire learners.
* Compassionate approach and flexibility when working with young people who may have faced barriers to education.
Desirable:
* Recognised teaching qualification (DET, Cert Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).
* Previous teaching experience in Maths.
* Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs.
