About the role:
Teach Now is excited to offer a rewarding opportunity for a passionate Maths Tutor to work 1:1 with secondary school students across Hertfordshire. This part-time, flexible role is ideal for experienced tutors or qualified teachers seeking to make a meaningful impact on learners without sacrificing work-life balance.
You will deliver tailored Maths support that meets each student’s unique learning needs—whether that’s building GCSE confidence, catching up on missed content, or preparing for A-level success.
Key responsibilities:
• Deliver personalised 1:1 Maths tutoring across KS3, KS4, and KS5
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons based on student learning styles and academic goals
• Build positive and encouraging relationships to support confidence and motivation
• Monitor and track progress, providing constructive feedback and next steps
• Work independently while supported by an experienced education team
About you:
• Proven experience teaching or tutoring Maths in KS3–KS5
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patient, positive, and adaptable to different learning needs
• Passionate about education and student development
• QTS is desirable but not essential for experienced tutors
