Mechanic
Location: Braintree
Salary: Up to £35,000 basic per annum + bonus & overtime OTE 40K+
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 6:00 pm
Alternate Saturdays, 8:30 am – 1:00 pm

We are working with a respected main dealer in Braintree that is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanic to join their busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified technician to secure a stable and rewarding career, with excellent earnings and development potential. You’ll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle makes and models to the highest standards, using the latest diagnostic tools and repair techniques.
Mechanic Benefits:
Basic salary up to £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
£1,500 annual bonus paid in November
£6,000 quarterly bonus paid in advance
Note: This quarterly bonus is subject to adjustment if there is excessive sickness during the quarter already paid for.
Overall earnings:
Level 3 Mechanic and MOT Tester: £36,000 per annum
Level 3 Mechanic (non-MOT): £35,000 per annum
Additional individual bonus based on hours sold
Paid overtime and excellent productivity incentives

Mechanic Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair faults in engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems
Carry out routine maintenance, servicing, and safety checks
Use diagnostic equipment and software to identify complex issues efficiently
Record all work completed and parts used accurately
Communicate clearly with service advisors and customers regarding required work
Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Keep up to date with the latest vehicle technologies and best practicesWhat We're Looking For:
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Minimum 1 year of experience as a technician
Proficient with diagnostic tools and software
Strong technical and mechanical skills
Great communication and a team-focused attitude
Full UK driving licence
