Mechanic / Technician Required
VBE Restorations is a world class restoration company looking to expand its team. We specialise in Vintage Bentleys built between 1920 and 1931 so this is a unique opportunity to work on heritage vehicles and vintage car restoration projects. We are seeking a highly motivated mechanic / maintenance engineer with a genuine passion for vintage vehicles. This is a hands-on role in vintage car restoration, offering varied work with very little repetition.
The role will include:

General mechanics and mechanical fitting
*
Problem solving and mechanical fault diagnosis (without electrical diagnostic equipment)
*
Working with carburettors, mechanical brakes and manually-timed engines
*
Precision measurement with micrometers and verniers
*
Basic machining on lathes and milling machines
*
Vehicle electrics and basic auto electrical fault finding
*
Fabrication and welding (basic level)
Ideal Candidate Profile:
*
At least 10 years’ experience as a tool maker, mechanic, maintenance engineer or mechanical engineer
*
Skilled in vehicle restoration and traditional mechanical fault diagnosis
*
Practical knowledge of workshop machining, fabrication, and automotive electrics
Advantageous Skills:
*
Woodworking
*
Sheet metal work
*
Auto electrics
28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)
