Are you a recently qualified or experienced mechanic with a passion for hydraulics and the mechanics of livestock containers and trailers? Our client, an award-winning specialist in the design and manufacture of commercial livestock vehicles, is seeking a dedicated Mechanic to join their dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As a Mechanic, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the maintenance and installation of hydraulic and mechanical components in custom-built vehicles. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is meticulous, attentive, and eager to take on responsibilities with precision and a strong sense of ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the maintenance and installation of hydraulic and mechanical components for our bespoke vehicles.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic system issues, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Collaborate closely with senior mechanics and production teams to implement reliable solutions.
Take detailed notes, follow instructions diligently, and execute tasks with precision.
Develop skills in reading technical drawings and hydraulic schematics for accurate assembly.
Maintain meticulous records of all tasks performed.
Pipe commercial trailers and repair/assemble new trailers.
Assemble pulley systems and carry out hydraulic testing.
Requirements:
A genuine interest in hydraulics and mechanics.
Willingness to learn and grow within a team-oriented environment.
Ability to follow instructions closely and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail.
Strong sense of responsibility and dedication to delivering high-quality work.
Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Training Opportunities:
You will have the chance to attend various training courses, including WABCO trailer piping courses for commercial trailers, if required.
Benefits:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:45 PM, with 2 paid breaks and a 45-minute unpaid lunch.
Overtime opportunities available, Monday to Saturday, with weekly bonuses.
30 days of paid holiday per year.
