The Role: Mechanical Assembler
We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join a high-tech engineering environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Technician who takes pride in high-accuracy work, enjoys working with advanced equipment, and wants to develop long-term within a growing industry. Based in the Cambridge area, you’ll be working onsite in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility alongside experienced technicians and engineers.
This permanent role would suit a hands-on Mechanical Technician who thrives in a modern production environment and is comfortable working with fine tolerances, hand tools, and detailed engineering drawings. Main Responsibilities:
* Interpret and follow engineering drawings accurately
* Cut and prepare product to tight tolerances (within 0.5mm)
* Assemble and weld prdoducts (training provided where needed)
* Carry out pressure testing
* Work closely with Supervisors and Team Leaders to meet production targets
* Maintain clean, safe working areas and follow all health & safety procedures
Skills/Experience:
* Strong attention to detail and dexterity working with precision components
* Confident using hand tools and measuring equipment
* Ability to follow clear, structured instructions and procedures
* Experience in mechanical assembly or welding
* Willingness to learn new skills and develop through training
* Strong teamwork, communication, and timekeeping
* Flexible attitude with the ability to support overtime when required
