Client: Over the past 40 years our client has established itself as an industry leading M&E contractor operating within the UK. With a turnover in excess of £150M they undertake projects in a variety of fields including Pharmaceutical, Commercial Offices, Data centres, Residential and public sectors. Having earned a reputable name within the industry they benefit form a large amount of repeat business with Sir Robert McAlpine, Lend Lease, Multiplex, Mace and Mclaren. Projects range from £1M to £50M, consisting of fit out, new build and major project. As a result of increased work winning they are looking to expand their internal commissioning team.
Role: Mechanical Commissioning Engineer – £70,000 - £80,000 + Package
Project: Based in the City, on a £30million Mechanical package commercial fit out. He/she will have an emphasis on managing the commissioning and technical input and overseeing the commissioning. This is a flagship commercial project for a tier 1 M&E Contractors.
As a commissioning engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning on the project with a team beneath you. As well as witnessing, issuing permits
Responsibilities:
* Read, understand and scrutinise Specifications, Programmes & Drawing
* Testing and inspecting
* Liaising with Project Managers and Commissioning Manager
* Competent using Microsoft Office software
* Prepare Contract Documents I.e. Method Statements, Risk Assessments, RFI’s, etc.
* Issuing permits to work
* Site safety
* Read, understand and scrutinise Sub-Contract instructions
* Commissioning and testing
The Ideal Candidate should have:
* Must have experience commissioning Mechanical Projects over £2M
* Must have major commercial, healthcare or pharmaceutical experience.
* Strong communication skills
* Be within commuting distance of London
* A willingness to develop their career and to strive towards promotion
* Will be familiar working on large shell & core projects
* Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as Sir Robert McAlpine, ISg, Mace and Lend Lease
