Key Responsibilities
Delivering detailed mechanical design as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Collaborating closely with structural engineers, architects, and contractors
Attending technical and project group meetings
Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and legislative building standards
Advising on energy efficiency and sustainability
Designing bespoke mechanical systems for specific sites/projects
Overseeing installation and specifying maintenance procedures
Using industry-standard design tools including CAD and BIM (Revit)
Conducting condition surveys and preparing client reports
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
A degree (or equivalent qualification) in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering
Experience in a similar mechanical design engineering role
Progress towards (or ambition to achieve) Chartered Engineer status
Strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate with a variety of stakeholders
Proficiency in industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, IES, and Hevacomp
An organised and detail-oriented approach, with a passion for continuous learning
