Job Description
Mechanical Design Engineer
THE ROLE -
* Liaising with various teams within the company
* Working on detail designs and developing manufacturing drawings.
* Modify and up-issue existing drawings.
* Compiling design documentation.
* Creating a BOM
* Occasional site visits will be required
Role and responsibilities: Mechanical Design Engineer
* Initially working alongside an experienced design engineer, understanding and support with the creation and preparation of engineering drawings.
* Attend and participate in internal and external project meetings,
* A knowledge and understanding of manufacturing techniques would be an additional advantage
* 2D/3D modelling, engineering drawings and models would be beneficial.
* Experience of core Microsoft office applications ie Outlook, Excel, Word etc essential.
Personal Requirements - Mechanical Design Engineer
* Relevant Qualifications i.e., Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Previous experience within a design office environment, with experience in mechanical engineering design beneficial, but not essential.
* Ability to maintain a calm demeanour and clear thinking, with a can do attitude.
* Excellent communication skills, dealing with other employees and external clients.
* Ability to understand/produce detailed technical drawings, with a willingness to learn.
* Strong attention to detail
