MTrec Technical are proudly representing our prestigious Engineering client, based in Sunderland, with their plans for growth and expansion, by recruiting a permanent Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The Job You’ll Do;
* To be an operational member of the design team to ensure systems are delivered on time and to specification.
* Concept system design including circuits, pumps, tooling and fabrication.
* Produce engineering calculations to ensure specifications are met including: - General understanding of thermodynamics, general understanding of mechanical design and calculations, good knowledge of material compatibility, flow through valves and pipework, volumetric pressure calculations and power consumption calculations.
* Produce detailed drawings, general arrangement drawings, P&ID drawings and bill of materials using AutoCAD Inventor.
* Compiling component specifications and verification in accordance with operating environment.
* Complete engineering and project documentation to ensure continued compliance with ISO standards and CE marking directives.
* Lead on design reviews to communicate system design to full project team.
* Creating technical files and data books including: - PED technical files, ATEX/IECEx technical files, and customer specific quality documentation.
About You;
* An appropriate Engineering related degree is essential.
* Previous relevant experience in a similar role is also essential.
* Excellent technical skills with good attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure
* Creative thinker with excellent problem-solving skills
* Interpersonal and teamworking skills
