Contract Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Sheffield (On-Site)
Contract Type: Contract (6 Months) – Likely Extension
Pay: £35 Per Hour (Outside IR35)
About the Role
We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer who is an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support ongoing projects at their Sheffield facility. This is a hands-on design role within a busy engineering team, ideal for someone who thrives on complex, medium-to-heavy industrial design work.
What You’ll Do
* Design and detail a range of process and plant equipment and pipework systems.
* Produce accurate layout and fabrication drawings using Autodesk Inventor 2025
* Liaise with production and fabrication team
* Contribute to the development and improvement of existing process systems
What We’re Looking For
* Proven background in medium-to-heavy engineering design
* Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor (ideally 2025)
* Previous work within conveyor systems, handling equipment, energy, recycling, Foundry is desirable
* Someone who takes ownership, works hard, and is open to new ideasBefore You Apply
